We’re sorry but no – the camp is for incoming 9th-12th grade athletes so graduated seniors may not attend.
No. Parents can register multiple participants with the same login.
There is currently no hard deadline as of now but, due to its popularity and judging from the history of running the camp, it will fill up and we will end up having to put late registrants on our wait list. So the sooner you register, the greater chance you will have of getting in.
All campers will stay on campus at NAU in Mountain View Hall. There are four people to each suite, two people on each side with a shared bathroom. Males and females will be segregated by floor and each wing of each floor will have same-gender chaperones (the NAU runners serve in these roles). The address to the dorm is: 216 E Mountain View Dr, Flagstaff, AZ 86011.
During the summer, the “Simple Servings” platform in both of the main university dining halls will offer alternative options that take into account some of the common allergens (wheat, eggs, milk, nuts, soy, etc.). Staff on site at the dining halls will also be able to work with participants on any additional special needs and to assist with better understanding of the options and different platforms.
Full linens will be provided at the dorm but campers can bring a sleeping bag and pillow if they would like. In addition, all campers should bring:
- TWO pairs of running shoes. If you have a cross country or road racing flat it may be nice for some of our workouts!
- Plenty of running apparel: short and long sleeve shirts, shorts, tights, light jacket, and SOCKS (2 pairs of socks per day is a good rule of thumb)
- Warmer clothes (think beanies, sweatpants, pullovers, warm socks). Summer nights can get a bit chilly at 7,000 feet!
- Rain jacket
- Casual shoes / Sandals
- At least TWO water bottles.
- Sunglasses & sunscreen (the sun is INTENSE at altitude)
- Bathroom toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc)
For campers needing transport in and out of Flagstaff from the Phoenix airport, we suggest you use Groome Transportation’s shuttle service.
