DATES: July 18 – 22, 2018
For five days, you will be immersed in a training environment unlike any other: endless trails, a coaching staff with experience at every level, guest speakers with World and Olympic titles to their name, all while surrounded by 2-time National Cross Country Champions from NAU.
After taking control of the program completely in the Fall of 2017, Smith helped the men’s cross country team to its second-consecutive NCAA National Championship. Both his men’s and women’s teams swept the Big Sky Championships as well. Smith was honored with the Bill Dellinger Award for being the year’s National Men’s Coach of the Year and also picked up both the Big Sky’s Men’s and Women’s Coach of the Year awards.
Becca DeLoache begins her second season as an assistant coach with Northern Arizona University Track and Field and Cross Country programs, with a focus on men’s and women’s mid-distance and distance athletes as well as team operations. She helped assist the NAU track & field teams to three Big Sky Titles (Men’s Indoor and Women’s Indoor and Outdoor) in her first year with the program in 2016 and followed it up by assisting in coaching the men’s cross country national championship winning team in the Fall of 2017.

I learned the importance of patience and recovery during camp. Also how to be consistent in my training!
The Flagstaff Running Camp helped me prepare for my cross country season by giving me skills and techniques that I can use to run better races.
Mike and his staff were incredible and made a lasting impression with my son. Thank you for not another run-of-the-mill camp, but making it about community. This is something that will help motivate him through the season and carry him in his life. I truly can't say thank you enough!
